MELON MILK Recipe – THE BEST EVER!

VIP Membership

My favorite foamy milk recipe is an unusual but a super healthy and exceptionally delicious one.

I call it MELON MILK.

The ingredients are very simple.

Slice a melon in half and scoop all the insides (called guts sometimes – seeds and all fleshy parts) into a pot  of water . I use 1 to 2 glasses of water per one melon. Steep it for 10 minutes or so. Bring this to a boil. Turn the fire off and let it steep for a few minutes (5-20 minutes is great. More than that is also excellent).

Blend the strained melon seed tea with some almond milk (3:1 ratio)  and optional stevia. It becomes very foamy and creamy. The taste is reminiscent of cows milk BUT in a good way. If you do not add a sweetener it tastes somewhat savory. With the sweetener and the vanilla almond milk (the Trader Joe’s one is fantastic) it is creamy, rich and foamy and delicious.

Also melon seeds are traditionally used for kidney conditions, water retention and edema so they are a great way to remove some excess fluid from your body and get the kidneys to filter a bit better.

Try it out and let me know if you liked it.

I have tried this recipe with every variety of melon seeds out there and they all make some awesomely delicious drinks. 100% my most favorite drink to have.
