Black Walnut Tincture

VIP Membership

This tincture is so powerful that I am including it in my First Aid Natural Remedies Kit recommendation.

Black walnuts have been used in many healing traditions for centuries. They have anti parasitic properties, they can be used topically for fungal infections such as jock itch; candida overgrowth; warts, herpes, boils, acne, psoriasis, eczema  and other skin issues.

It can be used as a laxative and it is known to relieve gas and stomach cramps, heartburn, colic for improved bile flow. It is used as digestive aid.

It is an extremely potent remedy and it should not be used for extended periods of time. Always apply caution when you are using black walnut tincture.

You can buy the tincture ready from amazon or from a herbal store
or
you can also make it yourself. I love making my own remedies and tinctures.
You will need black walnut powder sold on amazon or fresh green black walnuts (if you have access to a tree). You can use anywhere from one ounce of powder to a few ounces of powder depending on how much tincture you want to end up with.
Place the powder or the walnuts in a jar and cover with 80 to 100 proof vodka. If you are using the powder fill the jar up to 2/3 with the powder and then fill with the alcohol. Close the jar and leave it in a dark place. Shake the jar daily for 14 days or longer. You can strain it when you are ready to use and place in dropper bottle. If you are going to use it for fungal issues then place it in a spray bottle.
If you want to minimize the alcohol content you can evaporate some of the liquid before closing your tincture. Just make just not to evaporate all of it 🙂
I personally love making tinctures on a new moon and straining them on a full moon. This tends to make herbal preparation stronger potency.

It is quite simple to make it yourself and this way you will know that your preparation is a super strong potency. Also it is empowering to know how to use and create natural remedies and to know your way around with herbal and natural preparations. Most people are too intimidated to prepare their own healing remedies when in reality making them is fun, simple and empowering.

Have fun exploring Mother Nature’s powerful pharmacy kit.
