Chai Paste with Turmeric and Hazelnut Milk

VIP Membership

This has to be the most incredible drink I have made in a long while. I tend to make amazing teas and tonics and elixirs but this one is a star!

Ingredients:

I used the eyeball method to measure 🙂

A big piece of fresh ginger

4-5 tbsp cinnamon (i mixed a few types of cinnamon – vietnamese and ceylon)

2-3 tbsp turmeric

2 tbsp cardamom

1 tsp allspice

1. small nutmeg

1/3 chipotle pepper

some black pepper

1 cup hazelnut milk

few tbsp cocoa powder

vanilla extract

stevia, maple syrup, palm sugar, etc

optional coconut butter

next time I will experiment with some: rose petals, fennel, coriander, star anise, orange peel, fenugreek, etc

Blend everything in the high speed blender until it forms a paste.

chai paste

Keep raw in fridge or cook on slow fire for 30 minutes until thick paste is formed. Use this as concentrate.

I use a teaspoon of the paste and I mix it with hazelnut milk, cocoa powder and stevia. I whip it in the small nutribullet blender and I add this to a mug of hot water.

The whole house smells like heaven. The drink is out of this world creamy, decadent and delicious not to mention the health benefits of turmeric tea.

    Hi Ali!

The anticancer properties of turmeric is better when you use some fat (coconut oil, coconut butter) with turmeric and also heat it. It’s a perfect anticancer drink as well <3

    Namaste
